The Kids are in charge here guardians!
You’re just the assistants 😉
Tee Fergus will be leading a zine making workshop for kids using their zines as examples and you will also be able to grab some of their zines during the Queer Arts & Crafts Fayre.
The kids will be able to make zines about absolutely anything they want, with your assistance, e.g somewhere they would like to visit, their favourite food, favourite toy, a colour they really like. Any thing at all 🙂
They then pick the number of pages and go for it!
Fingers crossed by the end of it, we can copy a few zines for everyone so they all get to leave with a copy of their own and a copy of a different zine as well.
For those who may not know, A zine is some sort of publication, usually mass-produced by photocopying (in some cases, scanned, put on the ‘net, or copied via fax) on any range of topics, It is usually a means of telling one’s story, sharing thoughts, and/or artwork/comics/doodles.
This event is part of a crowdfunded community festival.
All events are £5+ suggested donation, if you cannot afford this just show up on the day and let us know or contact us via www.purpleraincollective.com so we can put your name on a list.
